ADS Primary School Apomu,Venue of the Empowerment Programme powered by Osun House of Assembly Majority Leader Honourable Maruf Olarenwaju filled to capacity.
The exercise afforded over two hundred beneficiaries who had few months ago under gone vocational trainings empowered with working tools such as sewing machines,hair dryers,sprayers and hair clippers among others.
In his address, Member representing Irewole/Isokan State Constituency Honourable Maruf Olarenwaju said since his inauguration about three years ago, he has been harnessing all resources within his care to meet the needs of his Constituents.
According to him, educational training for the final year students, distribution of learning materials, provision of foods and cash during the covid-19 lockdown, free hand sanitizers for prevention of covid-19, donation of concrete blocks for fencing of police station and drilling of nine(9) motorized boreholes in Irewole/Isokan constituency were part of the product of his representation.
Speaking on the empowerment exercise, Honourable Maruf Olarenwaju said he deemed its absolutely necessary to ensure that residents across Irewole /Isokan who were comprehensively selected to acquire different skills with a view to lessening the alarming rate of unemployment were given working tools accordingly.
In his remarks,the speaker of the state Parliament,Honourable Timothy Owoeye had appreciated God for the gift of life and the influx of developmental strides presently being witnessed under gov Adegboyega Oyetola-led administration.
He said the impact of the lawmakers across the state constituencies were the products of passion,love, commitment, dedication and service towards development and good living of the all and sundry which have given birth to the empowerment exercises.
Hon Owoeye announced that with the foresight of Gov. Adegboyega Oyetola towards piloting the affairs of the State has optimally engrossed members of the State Parliment to throw their weight behind his candidature as APC standard bearer in the July 16 Governorship Election.
He also used the occasion to inform the general public that there's no division within the APC block in the state,explaining that any aspirant who so wishes to contest is free to do so but reiterated that Govenor Oyetola has no alternative candidate.
He thereafter lauded the donor of the Empowerment items for meeting both individual and collective needs of his constituents just as he called on the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the materials.
Highpoint of the occasion was the symbolic presentation of tools to the beneficiaries..
