The Corporate Management of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) has reaffirmed its commitment to operational transparency, efficiency, staff welfare, and a strong corporate identity during a two-day official visit to the National Control Centre, Osogbo, held from April 9 to 10, 2025.
Addressing staff at an official meeting on April 10, 2025, the Managing Director of NISO, Engr. Abdu Mohammed Bello, emphasized the organization’s dedication to upholding the principles of independence, transparency, and neutrality in the operations of its personnel and systems.
Engr. Bello commended the staff for their dedication and outstanding performance, particularly highlighting the successful implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) project for real-time grid monitoring. “I have observed the remarkable efforts you have put into enhancing our operational capabilities through the IoT initiative. Now that NISO is an independent entity, we expect even greater achievements,” he stated.
The meeting also featured briefings from key members of NISO’s executive leadership, including Engr. Nafisatu Asabe, Executive Director (ISO); Engr. Shehu Aba, Executive Director (SP); Dr. Edmund Eje, Executive Director (MO); and Mr. Babajide Ibironke, Executive Director (F&CS).
The visit marks a significant step in fostering stronger internal engagement and reinforcing the organization's strategic objectives.
