It was another feather to the cap of the Osun Commissioner For Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Olalekan Yinusa as he was on Tuesday awarded a "Certificate of Integrity Stewardship 'Service Ambassador'" by the Center For Peace and Value Re- Orientation, Abuja.
Making the presentation to the Commissioner who was represented by the Special Adviser on Budget, Hon. Remi Kolajo, the Executive Director, Comrade Abraham Oyibo stated that Prof. Yinusa became worthy of the award because of his administrative discipline and public accessibility at all times.
Comrade Oyibo said the contribution of the University don to the development of Osun through the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning can not be overemphasized, stressing that the achievement of the Ministry transcends the State.
He noted that the open door policy of the Commissioner as well as the ability to coordinate the Ministry in a manner that has brought out the best among members of staff is something worthy of emulation by heads of other Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.
In his words, "Coming up with Prof. Yinusa as the winner of this award was not difficult at all. Even from outside this state, we saw in him a man that has been passionate about the growth and development of this beautiful State.
"As much as this award signifies the recognition of his efforts towards developing the State in his own capacity, we are using this to spur him and his colleagues in the cabinet to do more for the development of Osun State". Comrade Oyibo stated.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award on behalf of the Commissioner, Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget, Hon. Aderemi Kolajo appreciated the group for deeming it fit to recognize and reward hard work.
He said the Commissioner and the entire members of staff of the Ministry will never relent in their efforts to move the State forward, stressing that the award is definitely a challenge to do more and work for the progress of the State for the benefit of all.
Present at the award presentation were the Senior Special Assistants to the Governor on Budget, Dr Bayo Adedokun and Mr Bisi Ogunkale, others were: the Coordinating Director of the Ministry, Mr Kunle Akinola, Director, Administration and Supplies, Mr Albert Ajiboye, Deputy Director, Budget, Mr Shola Popoola among others.
