Recently, I had the privilege of reading numerous reports detailing the developmental strides spearheaded by Dr. Olatunji Awodiran Leovest — a distinguished philanthropist and proud son of Obokun Local Government Area. These narratives left a lasting impression, underscoring the transformative changes being championed across various sectors of human development within Obokun State Constituency.

This piece is not politically motivated. Rather, it is a sincere reflection on the impact of Leovest’s initiatives, which have been driven solely by a passion for progress and human welfare, not partisan interests.

From the vibrant towns and villages of Ibokun, Esa-Oke, Imesi-Ile, Otan-Ile, Ilare, Esa-Odo, Ilahun, Idominosi, Ido-Oko, Ipenda, Eesun, Ikinyinwa, Ilase-Ijesa, Aketewi, Oja-Tuntun, Itiya, Ipetu-Ile, Ase-Ijesa, Adaowode, Erinja, and many more, residents — both young and old — have testified to Leovest’s unwavering commitment and unbiased generosity.

Reports have highlighted a range of initiatives led Leovest  to meet the pressing needs of the people. One of the most impactful is his Marathon Health Outreach Programme, which has greatly improved access to healthcare across the constituency. This initiative was inspired by the health-centered vision of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, whose commitment to comprehensive healthcare continues to guide progressive actions in the state.

Beyond healthcare, Dr. Olatunji Awodiran has extended his hands of support through widespread food distribution, not just during festive seasons, but consistently — reflecting his empathy and deep concern for the well-being of the people. His humility and passion for service are rooted in a genuine admiration for Governor Adeleke, whose governance emphasizes sustainable growth and human capital development.

As a strong advocate for education and national progress, Leovest understands the transformative power of learning. In response, he launched a robust educational initiative across Obokun Local Government, granting free access to JAMB and WAEC registrations for hundreds of students — a move that has opened doors for countless youths.

Understanding the demands of a digital age, he also introduced intensive ICT coaching for JAMB candidates, equipping them with skills to excel in their exams and compete favorably in the modern academic landscape.

In the political landscape, Dr. Leovest has become a recognized figure within the Obokun PDP. His numerous empowerment programmes have created avenues for people of all ages and genders to thrive. One notable event was the IMOLE Ramadan Lecture, which featured the Chief Imam of Offa, Alhaji, who eloquently discussed the transformative impact of Governor Adeleke’s administration in Osun State — with special emphasis on Obokun’s advancement.

Dr. Leovest’s mentorship extends beyond public programmes. He has consistently supported individuals within the PDP and beyond, helping them grow their businesses and find new opportunities, often doing so quietly and without seeking recognition.

His IMOLE Empowerment Programme has served as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged, driving grassroots development and economic growth across communities. His relentless efforts continue to uplift Obokun State Constituency, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.

This article is a tribute to Dr. Olatunji Awodiran Leovest — a man whose passion for community service, guided by the visionary leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, is reshaping Obokun for the better. His legacy of impact and compassion will undoubtedly endure for generations to come.
